MS Intellimouse Optical working on 11.4
I searched the site for details on getting an Intellimouse working on Linux and the thread made mention to an /etc/X11/XF86Config and xorg.conf file.
I would post the thread's link, but the forum won't let me even though the thread is a thread on this site! Here's the portion of the link without the header and site URL:
.../forum/hardware-peripherals/8599-ms-optical-intellimouse.html
I can't find either file in my Ubuntu 11.4 system. I'm assuming the entries from that other thread will be at least similar to the entries I need to make, I just need to know where to make them.
I also have an additional twist. I do NOT want my side-buttons to be fwd & back navigation. Instead, I want them to be Copy and Paste. And I would like the scroll-wheel's button to be double-click.
Any ideas what I need to do to get this to work? The Mouse is a fairly old MS Intellimouse Optical USB (PS2 compatible with adapter).
