    Help please

    I just installed ubuntu on my mac with parallels and I get a I/O error. It says"
    (initramfs) stdin: I/0 error
    mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on //filesystem.squashfs failed: no such device
    Can not mount /dev/loop0 (/cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs) on //filesystem.squashfs"

    DON'T head your post "Help please"! Describe your problem. Then people reading the headings can decide whether they might be able to help.

    What Model of Mac have you got? Is it a PPC? Have you downloaded the PPC version? For some reason your install does not seem to have worked.

    Sorry I am new to these forums and I did not know, the forum I come from people do it all the time. My mac is a 15" macbook pro from, I believe 2008, with 4 gb of DDR3 RAM and a 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 duo. (So not PPC) Its current OS X version is 10.6.7
