Firefox tells you what is wrong - you need to install the Java plugin. Try these Ubuntu-specific steps.

One other problem I have noted is that visiting some sites that are Windows based I frequently get a message saying "You don't seem to have java installed on your system". Either MS or the person building the application has done something with java that makes it non-standard or it's a different release from Sun/Oracle to what;s installed on Linux which is always pretty much up to date. It could be it's programmed to look in C:\Windows.
Just been listening via websdr, 3 stations were OK, then I came across this one. I have java-1_6_0-sun-plugin-1.6.0.u26-1.4.x86_64 installed.

Note: you need both Java and JavaScript enabled for this page to work properly. If you don't hear anything, probably Java is disabled or its version is too old (i.e., pre-1.4.2).Last edited by Siddly; 07-30-2011 at 12:06 AM.
