Hey Linux experts. I am relatively new to this whole process and I was wondering if you can offer some assistance. Here is the deal:

I have a windows compaq presario SR5110NX running Windows XP Professional Edition and am basically looking to duel boot onto Kubuntu 8 and am running into some problems. I performed this when i was up at college once and for internet, i was plugged into the wall using a standard ethernet cable and now I have a router downstairs and i have wireless internet running on by computer from that.

Problem:
1) Seems to be not too important but still unsure and that is when i boot to the kubuntu, it seems the boot fails and sends me to a initramfs prompt and does nothing. I reboot and do same thing and the boot works successfully
2) Most important, upon startup, i noticed that the only drivers installed are videodrivers. I cannot get find any drivers for audio and wireless internet. Any assistance with installing the necesary drivers would be very helpful. If I can use the windows drivers that would also be great.
