Anyone get Kaseya to work on Linux
Hi Everyone,
I am running Ultimate Edition 3.0 Gamers, which is based off of
Ubuntu. I use Kaseya remote control/access for my job and was wondering if there was a way to get this to work? It uses WinVnc or KVnc for desktops, and Remote Desktop or KVnc for servers. Any Ideas?

Have you tried the instructions at this link?
Virtual System Administrator
You will need Kaseya 6.01 or higher for installing in Linux

That is a helpful link, but that is only for the client system, not for the system that I am remote controlling from?

Oops!
Sorry about that.
So you need to install Kaseya server?
I just looked at the system requirements for it here;
Kaseya 2 (v601) System Requirements
Looks like it's a Windows only program.
Actually need to run Windows Server unless you're evaluating the software and have 50 or less pc's you want to monitor.
I checked Wine App database. That program isn't listed so I doubt you could get it working in Wine.
The only other way you might get it to work would be to try installing Windows in something like VirtualBox or VMware.
Not sure if that will work as it will depend on your host system's horsepower and Ram or whether the program will handle a virtual environment.

That is so weird that there is no way to Run remote control from a Linux system. It works on MAC, and Windows. Also you can run it from firefox and chrome, I tried both of those in Linux and nothing. Also installed the windows version of firefox and chrome but it did not work in Linux. I mean I guess I could spin up a VM with XP or 7 to run the remote control, I just figured WINE would be able to work WINVNC

You guys are right. There is no way to use Linux as a Kaseya admin workstation. Because so much of the Live Connect functionality is tied to browser plugins, etc, there isn't a supported way to do that FROM a linux machine. You can install an agent, and do some basic management TO a linux machine, but Linux can't be your admin workstation. Sorry.
ps- I work for Kaseya.
