    How do I start up the computor using command prompt?

    Me brother was messing around on my computor and made it so that whenever you start the computor, the command promt is up.I dont know much about Linuxs, so what do you enter in to start the computor normally.

    EDIT: It is a ubuntu with gnome, if that makes any difference

    Hello and Welcome!

    Is this Gnome 2, or are you using the newer Gnome 3?
    If it's Gnome 2, simply go to your System menu (top of the screen), then Preferences and Startup Applications.
    Simply highlight the entry for Terminal, and select 'Remove'.
