    Hi All,

Trying to setup a remote desktop between two Ubuntu 11.04 machines, strangest thing is happening. I don't have remote desktop preferences on the box I want to connect to but I do have it on the system I want to use as the client....I need to enable remote desktop on the machine and can't without those preferences. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

    Hi jmadero

I'm not running Ubuntu, so all I can do is takeing a guess to help you.

Are there propably some packages missing on your remote machine? It sounds like such an issue.
Is it possible to connect from your remote to your local computer? If yes, compare the packages that are installed on both computers. "dpkg -l" (L not i) will help you with that.
