Beginner help with HFS+ support on linux

    Hi all
I am quite new to ubuntu and am trying to sort out a issue, I have a 3tb hfs+ formated hdd and I am trying to access the contents of this but it keeps saying
Error mounting: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdd2,
when I try to mount the drive
I have found some articles but I don't really understand how to apply the code changes I find, could someone do a simpletons guide to sorting this or give me a hand please
    Many thanks for your time

    Ben

    Hello and Welcome!

There seems to be a bug in the drivers for HFS+ that corrupts drives larger than 2 TB.

Many thanks for the swift reply, I had seen some of those bits but can't post links as I haven't enough posts.
It looks like there has been some progress in the area and I more wondered if any of the changes could be applied now, the change log on a couple of the sites shows several updates or are these for future release?
    Many thanks
    Ben
