Question Restore Bookmarks into Chromium browser for Ubuntu?

    Hello,
With other OSs and other Linux distributions, I have been able to restore bookmarks to Mozilla Firefox, close Firefox, open Chrome or Chromium, and then import Firefox bookmarks. In case I do not get bookmarks restored to Firefox 6 for Ubuntu, is there a direct way to backup Chrome or Chromium bookmarks on another computer and then restore the bookmarks to a computer running only Ubuntu and Chromium?
    Thank you,
    Richard: cool:

I am not absolutely sure that I understand this.

Have you tried "Sync"ing on Chrome/Chromium? That was you end up with bookmarks on all computers.

    Wrench sign>Preferences>Personal Stuff>Sync

Cool Sync is the word ...

Yes, it looks like sync is now the prefered way to save and transfer bookmarks and some other info, rather than export or import local files.
For Chrome and Chromium, this works through your Google account, same as your gmail account if you have one.
For Firefox, Firefox hosts the sync and you can tie it to any e-mail account, but you have to save the sync key for loging on from another account or computer.
Thanks for your reply and to everyone else who replied on Linuxforums or Ubuntu forums,
    Richard
