    Great Stuff Apart From Wifi

    Hello,

I recently got a new laptop from work and it came pre-installed with Windows 7. I had a few VMs setup in Virtualbox (running in a domain (got 16GB & I7 Quad, so not a bad little server/laptop!).

The great news is that I split the 500GB SATA in 2 and put Ubuntu 11.04 64 Bit on a dual boot. I fired up the VDIs as they were from Windows and ran the Benchmarking software I had installed - the machines got 40% higher even though I configured them in Windows! Pretty awesome - my colleagues are so impressed with my VMs being a lot faster that they are putting Linux on their laptops too

The bad news though - and it could and does put many people off - why won't the Wifi work?! The card is working, it picks up all the networks, but it refuses to connect. The weird thing is that if I plug my Android phone into USB and select "tethering", it connects to my wireless router and gives me internet access. So while this is usable, I would still rather use the internal Wifi card... I see so many posts about it but no solutions that work for me...

    Great VM performance though!
