Intel on-board Graphics
I am a newbie with a problem. My system has Intel Desktop Board DH67CF with H67 Express Chipset. This is a freshly installed, single boot system. My Linux Distro is Ubuntu 10.4, CPU is Intel Core i5, RAM is 2GB, graphics is Intel FDI on-board. Hard drive is Western Digital Scorpio Blue Sata 250 GB.
I have network on this system after using tar, make install and finally modprobe on the Linux driver software which came in the Intel Desktop Board DVD.
No Linux graphics files are on the DVD, however, and I would like to know how I can get graphics to run correctly. At present my highest resolution is 800 X 600.
lspci | grep -i vga
gives me this output
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Sandy Bridge Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
Any suggestions?

Have you checked in 'System>Administration>Additional Drivers' to see if Ubuntu is recommending you activate additional drivers ?
Looking at intellinuxgraphics.org/documentation.html
you'll have to put the http bit in yourself - seems I have to have posted 15 times before I can post a link.....
Your chipset should be supported

Check Package Manager in Administrative Menu too. You can manage packages with it easily.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
