    HP printer constantly becomes disabled

I am running Ubuntu 11.04 and I have an HP 2575 Photosmart installed with HPLIP. I have it shared with Samba. When I print from Ubuntu it works most of the time and when the wife prints to it from her laptop (Windows 7) it fails every time. When printing, it just stops in the middle of a page. From there I have to open the GUI for system-config-printer and select "enable" on the printer. From there it will actually complete printing for the page, start the next and again stop in the middle. And again I have to re-enable the printer. This happens every single time when the wife prints and only once in a while when I print. Any ideas?

I got some strange effects trying to print multiple pages with a Photosmart printer ... different model & printing via cups rather than via samba ... have you tried printing a page at a time to see if that works?
