I have a Canon mg5220 printer, copier, scanner. I got the driver from the Canon site and the printer works but the scanner isn't recognized. Anyone have an idea how I can correct the problem?

Anyone have an idea or should I use Windows in virtual machine? Would this even work? Doesn't it have to still communicate with Linux?

Fixed the issue. Had to get another driver from the canon europe site for the scanner. installation isn't to bad just have to fallow the directions that come in the documentation. Xsane still isn't seeing it but gimp sees it, so i'm satisfied with that. P.S. you have to get both the printer and scanner driver from the site cause ubuntu will not find it through it's driver search mechanism.
