Should I Be Concerned About this?

I just ran a rkhunter scan on my 8.04 os and I am wondering if I should be worried about this log entry:

    Performing filesystem checks
[20:39:42] Info: Starting test name 'filesystem'
[20:39:42] Info: SCAN_MODE_DEV set to 'THOROUGH'
[20:39:50] Checking /dev for suspicious file types [ Warning ]
[20:39:50] Warning: Suspicious file types found in /dev:
    [20:39:50] /dev/shm/pulse-shm-1137465541: data
[20:39:51] Checking for hidden files and directories [ Warning ]
[20:39:51] Warning: Hidden directory found: /etc/.java
[20:39:51] Warning: Hidden directory found: /dev/.static
[20:39:51] Warning: Hidden directory found: /dev/.udev
[20:39:51] Warning: Hidden directory found: /dev/.initramfs

    Thanks!!

I agree with MikeTbob. Warnings about pulse-shm and other hidden folders listed in your post are just false alarms.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thanks Gentlemen!! My computer has been experiencing short freezes lately and I've been disconnecting the phone line.
I do not know if something is in my computer or if my computer is being scanned so I pull out the phone jack and turn
off my external modem and when my computer unfreezes I go back on the Internet.

    clamav unavailable in synaptic

Although clamav is listed in my synaptic package manager it is unavailable. Is there some where else to download it?

I tried here using the terminal;sudo aptitude install clamav clamav-daemon clamav-freshclam

    with the result below:

That's the only place I know of. Most distro's have a clamav in their library. Try this:Clam AntiVirus

Not sure how you tried to download, or which clam package you clicked on, but when I was able to get to my Ubuntu computer, I checked the repository. Do a search for clamav, and there are a lot of clam packages which come up, the one you want is just plain clamav, not freshclam or one of the others. Hope that helps. I have never had trouble downloading it in Ubuntu, xbuntu, mint or lubuntu.
