    i cant open the CD-ROM

    i'm using ubuntu 11.4, im trying to open a CD which is design for windows, but im sure i can install it through wine, but i dont know where its located, i put the cd in but i get no pop-ups, nothing. if i knew, i could find it, i could install the .exe. if it helps the cd is called "skills for success with microsoft office 2010"

    A Windows CD will not autorun under Linux. However, it should automount into /media, where it may be possible to run the installer using Wine. When you put the CD in the drive, wait some time (up to a minute, but generally less), and then see if there is a subdirectory under /media. This should be where you should find the mounted CD. Another possibility is in /cdrom.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
