I wanted to post a question on a forum and couldn't find the thread posting icon. Guess I will ask the question here.
I have usb wireless connector. I want to connect it onto my laptop but I have wireless on the laptop now. If I connect the usb to the laptop and turn off the internal wireless card and connect the usb one will this cause a problem? Will the driver for the internal card for the wireless have a problem when I try to reconnect with the internal card after I disconnect the usb one?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello and Welcome!
There shouldn't be any conflicts.
Typically, driver conflicts only occur when using 2 drivers for the same device.Jay

On my Acer Aspire One Zg5 I had my internal wireless chip cutting out due to a heat issue I figured out later.
I ran a usb wireless while this was going on and turned off internal wireless in bios and no problems what so ever with conflicts of
any sort.Linux Registered User # 475019

Hello All
I don't know how to turn off the wireless on the laptop in BIOS. I can turn it off with the switch on the laptop. I guess that would be okay. Please let me know what you think about turning it off with the switch.
Thank you for your help.

That should be fine, as well.
Disabling with the hardware switch should still keep it from conflicting with your USB device.Jay
