Unity- clicking on a launcher icon to show all windows of that program

Occasionally, I use multiple windows (different browsers, file manager windows, etc.) I swear before there used to be an option to where if I click Chrome, nautilus, etc. icon in the launcher, it would show me all available windows and I could click which one. Now, it does nothing and I have to alt tab to get to the right window rather than view all of them.

I've read that super+w is supposed to throw everything in Spread mode and that seems to sound like what I want...but that command does nothing. Not sure if I've changed a setting somewhere or what. "Spread mode" is not in keyboard shortcuts, and if it's in compiz I didn't see it.

CTRL + W does indeed reveal all open windows.

CTWL W kills the open window for me. Under what setting is CTRL W setup as? If I knew the right setting, I could add the shortcut back to it, if I somehow removed it.

Sorry, should have said super+W (CTRL+W does indeed close the current window or tab)

As my original post mentioned, Super+w does nothing for me. The command has been changed somehow, and I need to know the setting that this shortcut is set under so I can change it back.

To change keyboard shortcuts and also to add them go to 'System>Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts' or press super and type 'Keyboard Shortcuts'. Then a windows comes up. You can see a whole list of shortcuts there. I hope this will help.

I believe you are misunderstanding me. I know where keyboard shortcuts is, the thing I do not know is what setting under keyboard shortcuts I change to put "super+w" into because that setting has been changed. If anyone who uses Super+w for spread mode can go into keyboard settings and tell me the name on the left side that super+w is under, that is what I need to re-add the shortcut.

I'm not using Unity, but the listing in Gnome is labeled Initiate Window Picker, key combo Mod4+w.
I changed it to something else entirely, then reverted back by using the keystroke combo of super+w.

    Does that help?

Thank you, but Initiate window picker is not an option in my keyboard shortcut window

I checked my keyboard shortcuts. I couldn't find super+w there but when I click super+W, the spread mode comes. I suppose super+W is a predefined shortcut.
