    Networking problem

    Greetings,

I am new here, and newish to linux. I am trying to run a linux dedicated server on a dell poweredge 850 here at home. It runs TeamFortress 2 fine, and people are able to connect and play.

What is puzzling me however, is that I am also attempting to run a minecraft server on the same machine. I am running it under a different user. Server starts up and runs good. I can connect to it through my LAN, however when I try to connect to it from outside the LAN, it doesn't accept any connections, in fact there is no sign that it even exists outside the lan.

The port range is similar but several hundred ports away from the TF2 port range, so I added an exception in my firewall to allow a wide enough range for both applications.

Maybe you have setup a Firewall ? or you need to setup the port forwarding on your router ?
