Wine problems with Veoh Web Player

I've been having some problems trying to install Veoh Web Player on my Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot 64-bit.

Wine isn't the problem,I think, because I was able to get it on there just fine.

The little box that you check to allow the file to be executable as a program,I checked already.

It even manages to get to the very end of the installation, before freezing.

One time,I was actually able to get the program installed, but on 11.04 Natty,I think.

This error message keeps popping up every time I try to install Veoh,at the end.

"The program Veoh WebPlayerSetup_eng.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This can be caused by a problem or a deficiency in Wine. You may want to check appdb wine for tips about running this app.If this problem is not present under Windows,& has not been reported yet,you can report it at winehq"

Do I have to uninstall Wine,& then reinstall it,& how?

I just wanted to watch a full version of a movie that's hard to find,& it won't let me.

Is there anyone out there that can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

There was something I read on WineHQ about the current 1.3 beta version being unstable,& to use the stable 1.2 version.

    Thank you.

The plug-in for Veoh from that source is no longer available for Firefox.

    Miro for Veoh?

How would I be able to use Miro to view the Veoh video?I was trying to watch a movie that is hard to find.It would only let me view the first 5 minutes, unless I download the Veoh web player.I tried using Wine, but it either kept crashing on me,or not open at all.I attempted to configure Wine using Winetricks to run the program, but it kept failing. At the end of the installation,it would say that it had failed or something to that effect.I've searched all over for an answer to my problems with Wine,& will probably have to reinstall.
