Process went smoothly but at restart I got:
ata_ID_[318]: HD10_GET_identity failed for '/dev/sdd: invalid argument
So? it does not recognize my drive? Any solutions?
Thanks,...

So what happens? Does the boot process just stop? I realise its been two days since you posted but I don't drop by here too often.
Strangely enough I'm also seeing a similar error relating to /dev/sdc after new installs of Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu and Lubuntu, all version 11.10. But the error seems to be ignored and each system boots normally. In fact I'm using one such installation that has this error on booting to type this post. Google hasn't produced anything that I understand that tells me how to fix whatever problem there is.
Did you manage to fix it?Last edited by PaulW2U; 11-13-2011 at 04:27 PM.
