Booting Ubuntu...new guy
Hey all,
Since this step occurs before most even see the new OS, I am assuming I am doing something really dumb here...
I installed Ubuntu as a companion OS with Windows 7. Supposedly I can choose which OS to boot at startup, but I am not getting that option. Hope yall can help, I want to see the OS I installed!
Should have posted system info-
ASUS P8P67
I-5 2500 CPU
Thanks again!

Hello and Welcome!
Did you manage to finish the installation without errors?
If so, what OS are you able to boot into?Jay

What step are you talking about?Since this step occurs before most even see the new OS
You didn't answer the question above, did you finish the installation successfully and were you notified that it was successful?
Is this a wubi install or an install on a separate partition?
If you are able to boot windows and don't get the option to boot Ubuntu, you didn't install the Ubuntu boot loader to the master boot record. You will need to either do that or configure your windows bootloader to boot Ubuntu.
