    can you make xfce desktop label that are long wrap around like in gnome ? i speak in reference to xubuntu. also can you replace the dock below with something like AWN ?

    Not sure about the wrap issue but can install AWN from synaptic or from the terminal,

    sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator
