Avoid reinstalling the MBR
Dear all,
In the following days I am about to perform a Windows 7 - Kubuntu 11 dual boot on my new Dell laptop.
I have been reading about some issues with the MBR being overwritten when updating either Linux or Windows. I had found a website which explains how you can setup your MBR from the start to avoid the need to fix/reinstall your MBR after updating either Linux or Windows. Unfortunately I am now unable to locate that website. I already have taken a look into my browsing history but could not find anything.
Does somebody know which site I am referring to? Or does somebody know how to avoid any future MBR screw ups right from the beginning (clean unused laptop).
You have my thanks!

I remember that the fix had to do something with not installing MBR in the default /mbr folder.
