    kubuntu shell in ubuntu

    i have Ubuntu 10.04 and was in the software center and found that i can install Kubuntu shell. if i do this will it change to that or will it just give me a choice which desk top to use. will it be a newer KDE or an old one like gnome is as classic.

    It should be some version of KDE 4, the newer version. In any case, you should be able to select which desktop environment you log into if you have more than one installed, such as Gnome, KDE, XFCE, ICEWM, et al.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
