ThinkPads E325 suitable for ubuntu? (or another linux distro)

I was planning to buy a Lenovo thinkpad (and there's 50 GBP off this weekend)

    specs here

Lenovo - Laptop computers - ThinkPad Edge Series - ThinkPad Edge E325 - United Kingdom (GB)

but I've been reading very different things. In principle the model is ubuntu certified by canonical. In reality if you search the internet there will be a few cases of major problems reported

Anyone who has it or has tried and can tell me if it's worth? in the uk they come with windows so I'll have to install ubuntu. I know 11.04 works better than 11.10 so far but does it really work enough well?

That machine would run handle Ubuntu just fine.
There were a few issues with getting that GFX card to run 'out-of-the-box', but it's often easily fixed.
