Ubuntu 12.04 Cheese Problem
Cheese no longer activates my webcam in 12.04. I get the following message when I try to run Cheese from a terminal
(cheese:9145): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to
a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at
a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel
Similar programs to Cheese work fine, as does Skype, so its no big deal .. but I LIKE Cheese !!!
Anybody know how to fidget with widgets ??
Many Thanks
Burke

If me. I would completely remove cheese with apt-get then apt-get update next then reinstall cheese with apt-get.
Code:sudo apt-get --purge remove cheese
Code:sudo apt-get update
This may or may not work. And they say Ubuntu is a stable distro.Code:sudo apt-get install cheese

I don't use cheese in AntiX. guvcview works for me just as fine as cheese.
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/guvcview
to find it in Ubuntu
to installCode:apt-cache policy guvcview
Happy trails, rokCode:apt-get install guvciew
