    Hello, I think I have followed all the directions correctly.

    here is the out put of:

    Once I am in CUPS these are my options for printers:

    Local Printers: HP Printer (HPLIP)

    HP Fax (HPLIP)

    I just wanted to check I am on the right page.

    update: It is working! The printer is a go. I havent tried the scanner yet, but I need the printer and copies the most.

    I was not using the force command to get the drivers installed, so it would not install them even with the ia32-libs installed (it was already on the computer)
