    12.04 LTS Uninstall

I have Win 7/Ubuntu 12.04 LTS dual boot system. Really like
Ubuntu but major problems when I have to restore my Windows partition. I want to uninstall 12.04 completely
including the grub bootloader and any MBR entries. I will
then reinstall using VMware workstation. Please provide the
necessary command(s) to accomplish this task.

    Hello

Delete or reformat your Linux partitions, then restore your MBR with the Windows bootloader by booting and using your Windows installation disk. Doing that should completely remove all traces of Linux.

First, create a Windows 7 Repair Disk following these instructions: System Repair Disc - Create - Windows 7 Forums Download gparted and burn it to a CD. Boot from the gparted disk and use it to delete your 12.04 partition. To restore your Windows 7 MBR using the Windows 7 Repair Disk, see this: Bootmgr is missing - Fix - Windows 7 Forums
