How Desktop behaves
After looking at my system info I see it installed 32-bit Ubuntu and i have a 64-bit. I should get the 64-bit version. What's the best way to uninstall Ubuntu 11.10 while dual booted with windoz 7?
I may not have to install 64-bit. I quick look at some tech sites says it's not neccesary.
Since upgrading to 12 the side icons don't open the apps. I have to right-click and choose open.

I started with Ubuntu back in 8.04, but abandoned it with 12.04 due to issues like you mention. Try Mint 13 for an old style Ubuntu with out the current issues.Registered Linux user #526930
