    iptables????????


    I want to Verify that the server firewall is turned off:
    /etc/init.d/iptables status
    or I want to turn it off:
    /etc/init.d/iptables stop


    in both case,I received this message:
    /etc/init.d/iptables: No such file or directory

    whats the problem???????

    I never messed with IPtables very much, but in Ubuntu ufw is the program that handles the firewall and IP rules. Try this:
    Code:
    sudo service ufw stop
    sudo service ufw start
