    reading session ID

    Hello,

Imagine we have two applications (appA and appB) running in the same session and communicating with each other through sockets.

What are the ways, that appB can learn the session identifier of appA? (without appA directly sending it to her?).

    thank you.

ps. by session identifier above it is meant the session identifier of the session in which appA runs (which in this case is the same as that of appB's).

    Hi,

It would help us to help you if you went into a little bit more detail about session identifiers, as they pertain to your situation. For example, the concept of a browser Session ID is common in web development, and can be achieved with the use of HTTP cookies, for example.

Also include programming language info, too.
