Problem installing Ubuntu 12.04
This is the first forum, blog or anything of the sort I have ever posted to so forgive me if I err, and correct me.
I have been able to install versions of Ubuntu and resolve problems by visiting forums up to this point. Up to now I have never had a problem upgrading the system. I have been running 11.10 and when prompted by update manager to Distribution upgrade to 12.04 I allowed it to to do so. It made it through...
Preparing to upgrade
Setting new software channels
Getting new packages
And then it hung for the afternoon at "Preparing to configure libc-bin"
What do I do now? Should I download and burn an ISO?
If so how do I revert back to 11.10? At startup?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Ok, I finally decided to hit the escape key. That started the installation again. Why would that be?
I had initiated no process that would have needed that.

Hi and Welcome !
Have you checked Hard disk space? How much free space do you have? We recommend fresh installation instead of Upgrade in most of the cases. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
