Raid issues
I have been trying to configure RAID 1, for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. It appears that after a complete installation of the OS with the RAID already configured, and performing a apt-get update and apt-get upgrade after that, the raid disks were syncing.
Just wondering, whether is it ok to perform any package installation during the syncing process??
Also, wat are the other things that can be done during the syncing? Or is it advisable to wait for the whole syncing process to stop completely before proceeding with anything at all??
May I know, the best books about RAID?

The more you work the drive with writes the longer it is going to take for the sync to finish, but it should not be harmful.
