Red face Problem with Workspace(High CPU Usage) and users accounts.

    Hello all
i hope i am on the right place for this..
Well i have some problems after using linux for some weeks.
I was finding out how to change my interface(colors, more panel tabs etc) and i did some changes then later i was makeing more workspaces(around 30?, BUT THIS WAS JUST FOR TESTING ;( )and after i did that my OS was doing very weird.
The CPU usange is pretty high and the hdd led is blinking the hole time While this was not happend earlider.

and if i want to change the amount of the workspaces (from 30 to 1) the windows is blinking the hole time(like the hdd led) but its blinking soo fast is no possible to change it.
i can see the 30 is going down to 1 but i press i but when i click close noting happens, and when i go back to that window it comes again 30.

thas my first problem Any idea how to fit? (with terminal?))

My second problem (not realy a problem)is that i readed on those forum that you shall NOT login into root... but why?
im saying okay, but what do i to change or to make other account?

and if im right the make or edt account is the command :
    Sudo -(XX?) right?
And also how do i change the password of the account?
    something like passcd or passwd?

Thanks alot for peaple who will help ^^

    Hi and Welcome !

Which version of Ubuntu are you using? root login is disabled in Ubuntu by default and you can gain root privileges through sudo only.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
