    No sound with the speakers

I am only being able to get sound using head phones, the speakers that came with the case do not generate any kind of sound. They are fine however, so has to be a configuration problem.

The sound device is an integrated ADI Sound Max. I am using lucid Lynx, 10.04

    Any ideas?

I don't run Ubuntu, but you might try checking the Ubuntu Debugging Sound Problems wiki page to see if it offers any tips, or help:

Thanks. With the link, I discoverd that one or more of the sound options in alsaMixer were marked as mute.
