Can't install anything in Ubuntu studio

I had a problem with my sound stuttering after installing ubuntu and looked at a few suggestions, Now I have no sound and cannot install or update any software.
I tried to end the process that's blocking my pc but nothing seems to work.
This is day 3 now with no sound and it's getting worse.

I hope someone can help me with this issue.

Which release of Ubuntu are you using?
We don't know what you did to try to resolve your sound problems so it will be difficult to suggest a way to 'undo' them.

What process? If you are no longer able to update or install software, you must have done more than try to configure sound. The lack of information is going to make it almost impossible for anyone knowlegeable to help you.

Which version of Ubuntu are you using?
Open Terminal and execute this

sudo apt-get clean all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install htop

Post error message here, if any.
