Ubuntu Problem
Hello Everyone,
I am new to Linux and have made a mistake as in i deleted something from the os and now i dont have any of the icons down the left side,i cannot access the dash,terminal or anything now although i can access the internet to browse.
Please help

Have you tried reinstalling the OS?

Hi and Welcome !
It looks like you have removed Applet from Panel. Right click on the Panel and select Add Applet or something like that. A list of Applets will pop up. Try adding Windows List applet. In case it doesn't work, try another applet.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

If you have a another computer with Windows installed, you can use YUMI to install a Linux iso to a USB. Just download the iso for the Linux distribution you want, and then open up YUMI and follow the instructions to install the iso. When finished, you need to restart your computer and boot from the USB.

Have you tried rebooting system an at ubuntu move down on ubuntu recover at the boot up thought an you can repair packages on next screen good luck
- 02-05-2013 #8Where did you click? Could you attach a screenshot of your Desktop?I right click but it doesnt give me an option to use the appletIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Is this a desktop or tablet issue if desktop issue reboot and at ubuntu and ubuntu recovery go to recover and got repair packages
tablets not sure on sorry. but good luck on the fix wish I could help

I right clicked all ove the desktop it said nothing about appletts
