By the way. I run old Laptops. If you can find a PCMCIA Wireless Cardbus Belkin F5D 7010 .ver6 (the version number /.ver is very important. It signifies the linux friendly wireless chip)
You'll be able to run wireless right of the box in Lubuntu or any other linux distro.
The kernel will pick up that card on a boot up just fine.Linux Registered User # 475019
