    Why not simply use:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install gimp
That will install the latest version that is in the Ubuntu repos.

I have the gimp installed. I'm trying to get the manual to use it. I know that they have one on line but I would like to get a manual that I can use off line. I found it in the repository and installed it and couldn't find it so someone suggested that I open the gimp and use the f1 key to see if it comes up when the program is open.
    Thank you for your help.

    Ah... I gotcha.
    Is it GIMP 2.6?

    *EDIT*
...dang! That one's not an offline version!
    This mightwork... from SourceForge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp...a3&use_mirror=

    Hello All
I think there is no off line manual for Gimp, so I guess I am going to stop looking.
    Thank you all.
