    Question Ubuntu 12.04 LTS not boot after updating software

    Respective sir,
    I have p4,2.66MHz processor, 1 GB ram,on that I have
    Ubuntu 12.04 LTS I update it after every 1 month but this time what happens I dont know but after updating my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS system not boot
    properly
    It just display black screen and rootveryfy nothing(hd1,0)like this. and systemstuck at this step.
    how can we solve this problem.

    Let me guess ... udevd inotify_add_watch /dev/dm-# failed: no such file or directory ?

    At the grub menu, pick a previous kernel from its Previous Linux versions entry.
    If you don't get a menu, reboot again and hold down a shift key at the POST screen until the grub menu does appear.
