    Hi all,

Am getting the following error in ubuntu 64bit-OS while issuing the following command

    # sudo apt-get source php5

    sh: 1: dpkg-source: not found
    Unpack command 'dpkg-source -x php5_5.3.10-1ubuntu3.6.dsc' failed.
Check if the 'dpkg-dev' package is installed.
    E: Child process failed

But i checked "dpkg-dev". I have installed successfully already. But the binary packages downloading but getting error while unpack.
Please suggest me the solution as soon as earliest.

Some commands don't work all that great with sudo. Generally, this is related to environment paths.
Try running the command as root.
