Regd: Static IP Address Changing automatically -from hyperv manager

I Installed ubuntu sever in hyper-v manager. Working fine for the last one week but rite now am facing the problem that my static IP has been changed suddenly. But if I restart the network service mean my static IP configured successfully.
Now my confusion is whether its problem with my linux server or problem with Hyper-V manager.

    My static ip configuration is
    # The primary network interface
    auto eth0
    iface eth0 inet static
    address x.x.x.x
    gateway y.y.y.y
    netmask z.z.z.z
    network x.x.x.x
    broadcast y.y.y.y

Please guide me to find out the solution.

If the IP address has changed and you did nothing then you are not using STATIC it is DYNAMIC.

Now you have to figure out why you are not using static. I am not up to date with Ubuntu to tell you how to do this but you should start by looking at your services and what is starting at boot.
