    Installing GCLC Software ( for mathematics)


    Hi,
    I am trying to install GCLC software on Edubuntu ,but unable to do that.

    2. what have you tried so far? Please include exact commands and any output/errors.

    I have only downloaded the package from the given link by you, and need further instruction to install the same as I am not getting from any where....Please help..

    you just need to unzip the software, e.g.:

    unzip linux-gclc.zip
    change dir into the newly created dir:
    Code:
    cd linux-gclc
    then mark the gclc binary executable:

    chmod +x gclc
    you now have the command line version of gclc installed. you can run it and you should see this:

    $ ./gclc
    
    GC language (R) -> LaTeX  Converter  Version 9.00
    Written by Predrag Janicic, University of Belgrade.
    Copyright (c) 1996-2009. Not for commercial use.
    
    File error. Cannot open input file.
    you may want to move it to somewhere in your path or create an alias to it or whatever.

    now i recommend that you read the documentation that comes with the zip bundle. in particular, check out the manual, found in manual/gclc_man.pdf.
