I haven't used Arch. But some things apply...
Take a look here. Post all output.

I am trying to connect to a hidden network with WPA/PSK encryption.
Which begs the question. Is WPA Supplicant installed in yur Arch Linux install also besides the info jay asked for.

    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/WPA_supplicant

I guess. Quickest way to see is (I am using the file path shown in Arch's wiki).

    Code:
    cat /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
in terminal and post output here.

Readout o my box but I use AntiX and I am using locate which I have installed to find wpa_supplicant.

    Code:
    locate etc/wpa_supplicant
    /etc/wpa_supplicant
    /etc/wpa_supplicant/action_wpa.sh
    /etc/wpa_supplicant/functions.sh
    /etc/wpa_supplicant/ifupdown.sh

I also do not run Arch Linux. Ozar. Where are you?

    Ok. How about.

    Code:
    harry@biker ~ $ cd /etc/wpa_supplicant
    harry@biker /etc/wpa_supplicant $ ls
    action_wpa.sh functions.sh ifupdown.sh
This reading is off of a Mint box. Yours will be different as to what is listed since it is Arch Linux.

    Oh yeah. even easier

    Code:
    $ cd /etc

I may be getting somehwere with the code
    Code:
    cd /etc/wpa_supplicant
Produced the same results as you posted -- action_wpa.sh functions.sh ifupdown.sh

Do you stil need to see the results of the other command you posted as well?

No. Just wanted to establish wpa_supplicant was installed.

as root in Arch linux or sudo if Arch uses sudo (cuz I don't know)

    Code:
    echo uname: && uname -a -m -p && echo lspci: && lspci -knn && echo lsusb: && lsusb && echo lsusb -t: && lsusb -t && echo lsmod: && lsmod && echo ifconfig: && ifconfig && echo ifconfig -a: && ifconfig -a && echo iwconfig: && iwconfig && echo resolv.conf: && cat /etc/resolv.conf && echo route: && route -n
    also

    Code:
    dmesg | grep firmware
This is the same thing Jay asked for but my version of Waterheads script adapted to one command line with a little extra added. Put readouts in between the code tags # which is that hash tag symbol on the reply taskbar. The readout is going to be very long.

By the way. I am a uneducated Linux using Biker so don't expect too much out from me. I might disappoint you.

I am not following exactly what needs to be input on this one...can you break it down line by line for me...step by step?

Every little bit helps...as uneducated as you may be to yourself, I didn't have a clue about these commands so you are more educated than I!

You just copy and past my command into terminal or line by line breakdown was supplied by jay in his post. Edit; Forgot to mention you will need sudo or be root in terminal for my command.
