Samsung M2070F on 12.1 and network printing under Windows 7 (x32/x64)

    Hello.
I have installed Samsung M2070F under Ubuntu 12.1 with drivers given in Samsung support site.
It goes well and everything has installed correct. I also enable firewall settings to get access to printer thru my network as suggested during installation proces.
Printing and scanning is OK under Ubuntu
When I try to install this printer unde Windows 7 (32/64 bit) the situation is :
    - Printer is found under network printers.
    - Installing procedure is started BUT it says drivers can't be find under network.
    - I put drivers supported on CD with printer.
    - Installation goes well, printer installed.
    - Tried to print test page and got status report (see pic).
EVERY type of document I try to print is the same result with the same report.

What is wrong and how to manage this problem??Scanned Document.jpg

    Hi and welcome

As this is a windows and/or samsung problem my suggestion is to ask samsung support or a windows forum for help.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.

    I mailed to Samsung support.
I was wondering if it is Ubuntu issue or Windows issue.
Usually maybe it is connected to some Ubuntu settings, but as I said I'm relatively new in this.
    BTW, how to:
    1. Check sharing status of printer under Ubuntu ?
    2. check cups and samba settings ?

    Regards,

The printer is connect to which computer?
You have printer sharing setup on that computer?
Does the printer have and IP address or direct connect?

Sorry for my late reply, been on business trip these days.
Printer is shared on Ubuntu 12.1 computer. It is directly connected via USB port.
Ubuntu drivers are taken from Samsung site, original that are suggested for this type of printer (M2070F).

Despite my will to solve this problem directly under Ubuntu and WIndows I managed to solve it with only 8 Euros. I bought 4xUSB Hub, who can share USB connections between two users, using mechanical switch.
Now both users under both OS's can print without problem. Also scanning is working good and other options.
I wish I could solve it by harder way but it seems that there is no solution except in Samsung corporation and their will to make easier for all users to work on different OS platforms.
