    I'll play around with it tonight. When I installed Ubuntu it didn't ask me for a root password, so could someone tell me the code I'd use to create it? (I've forgotten how, since I last used linux).

    you would have used a password for your normal account...
    same one...only thing is you have to enter it to use certain features...
    weird idea i know but thats ubuntu...
