Installing on USB external drive..
I am using a DELL Latitude 610 which belongs to my company. While on the road I would like to use Linux for my private business and I have installed Ubuntu on a 13 GB external drive... Ubuntu starts to boot (Lilo) but hangs at "Attached scsi disk sdb at scsi2, channel 0, id0, lun0,
below that is a blinking "-" (cursor)... A few lines before it hangs it also states: /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
Can anyone tell me how to complete the booting of Ubuntu.. In order not to change anything on my company computer I have installed the boot loader on the external drive..
Hope someone can help... BTW I am new to Linux..
