    GNOME its not working :(


    I rebooted my computer.. and when Ubunto started .. well it started in text mood! Where did GNOME go? I already rebooted my com. 3 times and the error continues...

    what can I do to put it back to normal?!

    It appears that you have Nvidia geforce is this correct? If so youll need to install some nvidia drivers since the system doesnt come with support for Nvidia chipsets

    Do you actually get an error message, or it the "error" you're referring to just booting into text mode?

    If it's just text mode, log in, and type
    sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start
    If it's an error message, post the message here.

    for ease of use you could go to which can ease your way through installing Nvidia drivers and other handy codecs etc
