    Transferine windows applications to linux.

I have a new computer that I installed linux on. I have Ubuntu 5.10 installed and everything works fine. Since I am getting away from windows completely, I need to transfer my music and pictures fro windows to linux. I have 65 gigs of mp3's and about 3 thousand pictures to transfer. Far too many to start all over on the new machine. Is there a way to do this, and if so could someone explain how it is done. Any help will be appreciated.

Is Windows installed to the first partition on the same machine? Is your Windows partition formatted with fat32 or ntfs? Do you have any room left on you Hard drive to create any more partitions?
