Installing ndiswrapper with belkin wireless g plus notebook card

I'm new to Linux, and have Kubuntu 6.06 and am trying to install ndiswrapper-1.16. I am using the guide here. when it comes to the compiling and installing, it says that "make" is not a command. So then I tried "apt-get install make" and it threw another error. How can I get around this so I can get everything working? Here are the printouts from the terminal:

Perhaps you want to try
Code:
tar zxvf ndiswrapper-1.16.tar.gz
instead. So with the "zxvf" options and not "xvf".

Wow, that's a mistake in the tutorial!

This is about the same tutorial, but with no typing errors:

Look at this, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WifiDocs/Dri...iswrapperHowto , might simplify things a bit if you only need ndiswrapper-utils package. Skip the steps pertaining to "ndisgtk" because they are gnome dependent.

Yeah, that's the one. hmmm... I hope it will work, because I ordered it offline and it would take forever to return it and get a new one. Is it hard to get to work because the drivers are hard to get?

I'll give the "-zxvf" a try and see if it gets the "make and install" commands working better. Thanks for the help, I'll keep you updated if I have any revelations.

Also, did you find the correct driver for it from the ndiswrapper wiki site?

I have tried ndiswrapper with all the correct drivers and following the install procedures using Breezy. I have used Dapper and the firmware cutter and the card is reconised but stubbornly sits there refusing to talk to my access point, grrrr
Am downloading the latest daily build of Dapper to try again, I'm not going to let the bugger beat me

Hey, if you could, would you show me where you got the drivers, I couldn't find it on the list, from the ndiswrapper wiki site. I'd appreciate it. And tell us your progress with the updated dapper.
